AutoCAD computer aided draughting and Cymap CADlink
computer aided design software are employed on
our networked PC system. This allows us to
carry out detailed thermal analysis, daylight
calculations, etc. with data reading directly
from AutoCAD drawings.
We also use the Amtech suite of electrical
design software for the complex cable and
circuit protection calculations associated with
LV and HV electrical design.
Our main investment in CAD software gives us greater analysis capability using TAS dynamic thermal simulation and CFD programmes. At the early stages of a project we can now fully investigate options such as stack driven natural ventilation, passive night cooling, etc. This is a key step in our aim to provide clients with accurate information on design options at the early decision making stages of a project.
Compliance
with Part L2 Building Regulations can also be
demonstrated using the TAS model, which is now
an approved alternative to the SBEM
calculations. We are however accerdited to carry
out SBEM Calculations in the conventional manner
if a TAS model is not appropriate. |
